Design Transfer
Designs are created as line drawings, then carefully transferred onto wood using carbon paper.
The Burning Process
Suited up with sun protection, I use a magnifying glass to direct sunlight, meticulously burning the design into the wood.
Finished Piece
Small, simple pieces take about 45 minutes. Intricate portraits (like Lucy the cat, above) can take several hours of focused work.
